Tennessee Temple
University ~
Chattanooga, TN
Southern Gospel
Music School of America (SGMSA) is dedicated to the preservation
of and continued education in the American musical art form
known as Southern Gospel. Students attending SGMSA will more
fully develop their God-given musical abilities. SGMSA uses the
shape-note system of music and desires for its students to be
able to read music, sing music, write music, and love music.
Everyone tends to love things more as they become more
proficient in them. It is our goal to make an impact not only on
individual students, but on the church choirs, school choirs,
and communities to which the students belong.
