SGMSA 2009 has begun!  We invite anyone interested to come sing with us in the evenings.  We sing each night (M-Th) from 7:40-8:40pm in Phillips Chapel on the campus of Tennessee Temple University (TTU).  Even if you don't want to sing, feel free to come and listen.  We'd love to meet you.  If you need more information, please call Nelson @ 615-289-3222.

The school has started well and we're excited about seeing the students progress in their musical abilities. Make your plans to attend our student recital on Fri, Jul 10, at 10:30am in Phillips Chapel and our closing program on Fri, Jul 10, at 7pm in Chauncey-Goode Auditorium also on the campus of TTU.

Welcome to SGMSA!

June 29 - July 10, 2009

Tennessee Temple University - Chattanooga, TN

Southern Gospel Music School of America (SGMSA) is dedicated to the
preservation of and continued education in the American musical art form
known as Southern Gospel.  Students attending SGMSA will more fully
develop their God-given musical abilities.  SGMSA uses the shape-note
system of music and desires for its students to be able to read music,
sing music, write music, and love music. Everyone tends to love things
more as they become more proficient in them. It is our goal to make an
impact not only on individual students, but on the church choirs, school
choirs, and communities to which the students belong.
